The Columbus switcher, local and road job all rolled into one have left Columbus Brick for that all important 1 car. It is being rolled along what once was the C&G's mainline. With a bridge abandonment in 1984, this mainline became a shadow of itself overnight. Columbus Brick is the only customer on the line and only 1 of 2 customers C&G serves in its name sake town. With the promise of a new steel mill and a possible auto plant, better days may be yet to come for the C&G. |
