Title:  Dont be fooled
Description:  Dont be fooled, the CN doesnt serve Columbus nor are these any longer CNs. This and the other GP40-2W behind it have been on lease to the Alabama Gulf Coast Railway for sometime now from RMPX. The 9645 is making a set out on the BNSF main just shy of coming into the HWY 182 crossing in Columbus. Though these rails are owned by the BNSF, the BNSF only serves Columbus 3 times a week with a local job, the 852, out of Amory. These rails see more trains by other railroads than the host company itself. Daily trains from the AGR, KCS and Golden Triangle Railroad (GTRA) run this line daily. 2 from the AGR and 1 each from the others respectively.

A long ways from home
Title:  A long ways from home
Description:  Florida East Coast 445 is a long way from home in this over head view from the HWY 388 bridge. She is seen here working an AGR local. I chased the train all the way from Columbus to this location to get a shot because FEC's are rare to the area. Then again not. For years, 6 ex FEC GP7's worked the Columbus & Greenville til they died off one by one with the last one bowing out in 2003. All were subsequently scrapped in April/09.

Description:  AGR 210 heads south for Aliceville thru Whitbury, MS just 3 miles south of Columbus. 210 is AGR's road train from Aliceville, AL-Amory, MS. It come north in the early morning and when it reaches Columbus it enters BNSF trackage rights to BNSF's Amory, MS yard and turns and heads back for Aliceville. Upon leaving there, it heads south for Magnolia, AL and becomes AGR 211.
