Waddle, Trundle, Rumble, Sway My Blues Away
Title:  Waddle, Trundle, Rumble, Sway My Blues Away
Description:  The 7o2 makes its way down the last remaining part of the original C&G mainline in Columbus. Its now nothing more than a stub track to a local industry, 1 of only 2 online customers the C&G serves in its name sake city.

Sign of the times for a shortline
Title:  Sign of the times for a shortline
Description:  The 7o2 switches a few carloads of brick from Columbus Brick, one the C&G's 2 remaining carriers in its name sake city. C&G in Columbus now is little more than a bridge line between carriers in the area, a shadow of its former self. The sign here just adds insult to injury. Other class 1's gobble of the other shippers in the area.

Since July of 55 Thats As Close As I've Been
Title:  Since July of 55 Thats As Close As I've Been
Description:  An Electromotive GP9 built in July of 1955 waddles at IOmph down the KCS on its way back to Columbus. I bet even when it was built EMD had no idea that it would be around over 5O years later, having done all and more that was ever asked of it. The 7o2 is however not a hit with crews. Have you met a 53 year old that wasn't cranky? The 7o2 is ex Southern Railway (CNO&TP) 6246 that was later rebuilt with dynamic brakes. The ex SOU GP9 came to the C&G in 1983.

THE 7o2!
Title:  THE 7o2!
Description:  The 702 is back at Columbus after serving a stint at West Point for the Prestrage Farm mill as their switcher when their own went down. Now back at Columbus, this old vet faces an uncertain future due to the G&W take over. It's been rumored she will be put up for sale. She came to the C&G in March 1983 after leaving the Southern Railway (SOU {CNTOP} 6246). She's been a bit of a staple for the C&G and railfans alike in her 26 years on the CAGY. Hopefully she gets to stay. But for now as Jim Morrison would say "The Future's uncertain and the end is always near." I hope the line "Let it roll baby roll" holds true for her.
